Choosing a Suitable Puppy Can Be So Exciting - If You Get It Right!

All the advice you need - All your questions answered - for dog lovers - by dog lovers.

Choosing a suitable puppy to be part of your family can be one of the most rewarding experiences and bring a lifetime of fun and companionship. But, please, please do not be impulsive.

There are so many things to be considered when thinking of adding a puppy to your family. Be willing to invest some time at this crucial stage and you’ll be glad you did.

It could spare you the heartbreak, not to mention expense, of making the wrong decision.

      CHOOSING A SUITABLE PUPPY

When choosing your pet dog, there are a number of factors which need to be taken into consideration. The most obvious being should you choose a puppy or think about adopting the older dog. There is so much to be said for each of these options - and your circumstances will determine the best option for you.

This page helps you weigh up the pros and cons of choosing a puppy - AND help you in choosing a suitable puppy for your family. Click on the link below to look at the option of choosing a more mature dog.

HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY RESIST THIS!

THE PROS

Puppies are the cutest little things, they are so easy to bond with and provide hours and hours of fun. You can train them to your standards and not have to help them "un-learn" bad habits they may have picked up along the way.

They easily adapt to other pets in the home and are specially to be recommended if you have a young family, as they do not pose a threat in any way (though they do add to the hustle and bustle of your daily routine!).

THE CONS

However, don't get all carried away with the good bits of choosing a suitable puppy! They are also as dependant as little babies - needing frequent feeding and potty training (so be prepared for puddles on your favourite rug!).

They are small and vulnerable - vets bills need to be considered, and they are like mischievous children - nothing is sacred - or safe from them! Be prepared for sleepless nights, runny tummies and chewed up everything!

      Other things you should know!

Getting a new puppy is going to be a big responsibility - a bit like having a new baby really! Thankfully, puppies grow up a lot sooner than babies do, so you get past the sleepless nights and potty training a lot quicker!

They are also going to be a big financial committment. And - no I am not trying to put you off! - but I promised I'd help you make the right decision - and this is all part of it.

Choosig a suitable puppy is an even bigger responsibility - however, get the initial stages correct and the rewarding relationship you will have with your dog will be more than worth all the trouble and expense.

      Equipping Your Home

Like with all babies, you will need to properly equip your home to accommodate a puppy. Whilst there are many safety features to be considered (and we will go through this in more detail soon), there are also other expenses to be looked at when choosing a puppy.

You will need puppy food, a puppy bed, puppy grooming products and of course puppy toys to keep your new puppy AND yourself happy and amused!

We're in the process of sourcing the best deals available for you to benefit from - where we will be able to provide you directly with the very latest in innovative, quality products and services at the most competitive price. In the meanwhile, take a look at your local pet store's range of essential puppy products. Pay special attention to the quality of products you buy - puppy will chew - AND SWALLOW - anything she gets her teeth into! Do be very aware of safety issues.
